WHERE IS A SAFETY PADLOCK USED?

  • Electrical Panels and Circuit Breakers: To prevent unauthorized access and secure energy sources during maintenance.

  • Industrial Facilities: To ensure safety in machine maintenance, production lines and installation systems.

  • Construction and Building Sites: To prevent entry into hazardous areas during work.

  • Machinery and Equipment: To minimize work accidents by preventing unplanned operation.

  • Institutional and Public Areas: In special areas that can be used by authorized personnel.

WHAT IS A SAFETY PADLOCK?

Safety padlocks are specially designed locks that comply with occupational safety standards and are used in lockout and tagout (LOTO) procedures. Unlike standard padlocks, they are used to prevent unauthorized access and to isolate energy sources during maintenance and repair operations.

These locks are used to ensure that only authorized personnel can access a particular work area or equipment and are generally preferred in electrical, mechanical and industrial safety fields.
